So after putting this out on other forms of media, I asked about what I found in my new Belangers headers, midpipes, high flow cats system with a full Magnaflow cat back. It’s advertised on multiple sites as a “complete 3” exhaust system that requires no cutting or welding, full bolt on”. Well, I call BS on the 3” part, cause there’s a reducing section right before the mufflers. After looking into this I’ve determined that the reason is because either one of these kits by themselves are meant to be a direct bolt on to our stock exhaust. In order to eliminate the reduction (which is down to an ID of 2.25”) I’ll need to have my welder guy do extra work to make it right. I’ve attached some pics which those of you that have either will (should) recognize. I’m sure that most that have serious mods (unlike myself) have already remedied this themselves but I’m only surprised because, as a vendor selling the combo, they should’ve been noted the restriction or at least modded it to be a true 3”. I’m very disappointed truthfully but I have faith my welder will take care of me.
Ok rant over, just wanted to make some buzz over this cause I think it’s not right. I can only blame myself for picking the vendor I did. (PS, they list is as a “complete full system”)
