What causes a nitrous backfire? In the past I have used nitrous many times, on the street with the bottle mounted right next to me or on the drag strip with it mounted right behind me. Have used up to a 300hp system with no problems at all and best of all NO engine damage or problems whatsoever.

over at island dragway we had a new z06 do the same thing. only he was at the starting line and just left. it was HUGE!!!! it relit 4 times before they allowed anyone near the grandstands again. nitrous on vetts is not a good thing with the plastic intake manifolds it seems

I don't have ANY experience with NOS, let's get that one straight but is it really so unreliable?:dontknow:
