Cadillac CTS coupe spied
Let’s hope General Motors still has enough cash left over for few luxuries, because we can’t wait for the Cadillac CTS coupe. And today, we’re getting more spy shots of the hot two-door due in 2010.
These pictures are crystal-clear, leaving little to the imagination. There’s some camo on the C-pillar, rear quarter panels and taillights. But otherwise, this is the new Caddy coupe in all its glory.
This appears to be one of the base versions with the direct-injection, 3.6-liter V6 engine making north of 300 hp. The grille, wheels and exhaust look like standard-issue Cadillac outfittings, where as a V-series spied last month had suspicious exhaust pipes and an apparent mesh grille.
Production was expected to start this year, though unfortunately that’s been pushed back to next year. The coupe and the wagon will expand the CTS line within Cadillac, and the V-series is expected replace the XLR as the brand’s halo car.
