I have already chosen to use the stock airbox with a K&N drop in, but my question is has anyone looked into making just a replacement tube from the TB to the OE box to eliminate the ribbed tube?? I remember in the Hemi world it was the ribbed tube and the resonator which gave all the restriction in air flow and a few companies came up with a replacement tube to replace those parts and increase airflow, or at least smooth it out.:dontknow: Just checking, didn't see anything on a search...........I was thinking Tony or justin amybe:dontknow:

The combo you went with is pretty much the best option from all the posts I've read on here. Some have made their own CAI that goes down right next to the opening on the side of the radiator after removing the air deflector from behind the grille. Results are negligible at best. There's a ton of threads if you get bored one night and want to do some reading, but in summary, CAI's don't result in much performance on our trucks. Best intake is forced induction lol

Search for threads started by TNviper, he did that using 2 factory air boxes(one on each side) on his roe truck, honestly I would just get the JMB intake for looks you won't notice any drop inpower

Yeah I do like his, clean and small....... May consider it. $250 is reasonable, same as a K&N.

I do like the K&N because it gets rid of the lovely 2nd useless battery tray, I'd rather see a huge filter than that useless thing!!!!!!
