I was wondering what has to come off the door panel to install the cal vu mirrors. I am about to put mine on and i thought that some of you might have a short cut or quick way of doing it.Thanks guys. Bill

DONT PULL THE DOOR PANEL OFF. Just remove the screw in the little panel with the infinty logo on it, and that will expose 2 of the 3 mirror retaining nuts, its about a 20 minute job for both mirrors that way.

On my 2006, I had to pull the door panels off in order to get to the 3rd retaining nut easily. Took me about 30-35 minutes including the R and R of the door panels.

BTW - Boomer - the paint work on the mirrors looks great!!! I got them on Thursday!!

What a great way to describe the stock mirrors... :) :)

OK,,, just got my mirrors. Did a search and found this thread.
Dumb Question Time... How do the plastic covers (with the Infiniti logo on them) come off? I really don't want to remove the entire door panel.
Obviously, I removed the single screw but the cover isn't coming off.. I'm a bit embarassed because I've pulled every way on those covers... Any help?

Dude I see the bolt off - but the screw in the plastic cover seems like its still there...take it off and pull...it should pop off.

If that doesn't work you'll want to heat the plastic with a blow torch - not too long maybe only 45 seconds and then whack it with a ball peen hammer. That usually does the trick.

I had the same problem...so I loosened the entire door panel and was able to pop it out. Be careful though cause its a pain to put back on.....when your drunk and its nighttime. :D

First off,,, thanks for the speedy replies. The screw in the plastic part is off too... I've tried pulling every way,, just not coming off.
