Got a call from GAKen this evening and they were at the track at Rockingham.

The GTG was going great and the guys and gals were having fun. They started at Sonic and then went to the track and were running some good numbers.

Ken had to go as they were at the starting line we could not hear.

Cool - maybe he will get some pics? :D

The GTG went great! Got to meet Georgia Ken--great guy by the way, and I enjoyed seeing all the other NC boys again. I was able to pull off a 13.3 in 80 degree heat--fully loaded with tonneau and tailgate. Looking forward to 12's once I get rid of my cat's, and with cooler weather.

Also, I had no idea Stinker loved Miata's so much; that's all he wanted to talk about last night. Don't be surprised if he get's one for his second ride.

You forgot to mention that GA. Ken and Stinker have something in common. Their love for Peach Smoothies. I can understand this from GA. Ken being from the great peach state but I haven't figured out Stinkers obsession. :dontknow: But he did carry on about it when Ken ordered one. Heck, even the Sonic's man was zinging the group through the speaker. Some good times where had at Sonics and run at the track. I'll let the other folks tell their stories about the times they got at the track so I don't steal anyones thunder. Big Dave

Glad to see you made it home ok Dave....I got home last night and started removing the 22,345 bugs that had hitched a free ride on the truck.

Hey Ron, Yeah, I got home just fine. Saw and avoided a couple speed traps going through some of those little towns. I pulled the truck in the garage, came in, took a shower and hit the sheets. I'm not the night owl I once was. The truck will have to wait till later to be debugged. I never bother to count them though. I just know there's a bunch. I know how meticulous you are about the looks of your truck. I never heard anyone squeal the way you did yesterday when Joanne pointed out a smudge on your door. Seek therapy. :D

Had a great time, it was good to see outnumbered, Stinker & Joanne, DJCHEROKEE, SilverSRT10, poppopmadman & Georgia Ken. We all met at the Sonic and got a bite and hung out for a few until the track opened. Ken was representing Georgia with his peach smoothie and then outnumbered dropped the Miata bomb on us. No comment in either

Off to the track.....It was a beautiful evening and you couldnt have asked for nicer weather. (Perhaps cooler weather was still in the low 80's and cooled to the high 70's later on) It was a test and tune night so you had a motley crew of vehicles running last night. Nothing really impressive other than a few bikes running in the low 9's. C5's were uh, how can I say...not impressive ;) There were two running and the best run was a 13.4 against outnumbered's 13.5 :D I had a shitty night as I might have expected. My master/slave unit has been going south for the past couple of weeks and it showed at the track. I hadnt missed third in about a year and last night it wouldnt shift for shit. Had only one clean run by granny shifting and pulled a 13.05 at 110mph. So I am ordering the upgrade kit along with a new clutch/flywheel next week ;)

Believe Joanne's beast ran a best of 13.4 or 13.5...which was pretty impressive considering the huge ass tool box full of all kinds of tools and a full tank of gas.

Looking forward to the next gtg and congrats to poppopmadman's 13.4 stock run and Ken's stock QC running a 13.8 ;)

Yeah, I got it, kind of. I didn't take near enough pictures and my video is shaky. I've got your burnout and run but the timing board came out blurry. You can just make it out. I'll get to it tomorrow and attempt an upload. I've got to download it to my other computer. This one doesn't have the fire-wire. I thought DJCherokee and Oscar were going to be there to do another one of they're excellent video's. I'll try and do better next time. For now here are a few pics.
