Just excited to get this truck looking the way I want, hoods next and it’s the closest yet 6 hour round trip. After that I just need a navigation bezel and dado to fill it. Then I’m guessing maybe find someone to make me a stroker motor out of this and rebuild the trans because it feels smoked as well
So the truck has an after market shifter in it and when I shift the truck it feels very corse if I had to guess the previous owner replaced the stock shifter thinking it would fix this issue. From what I’ve seen online it has to be rebuild to fix what I’m feeling. I haven’t checked fluid yet. What do you plan on doing with the hood on the truck ?
So your a manual trans .. SC not a QCSo the truck has an after market shifter in it and when I shift the truck it feels very corse if I had to guess the previous owner replaced the stock shifter thinking it would fix this issue. Replaceing the valve cover gasket is a simple job and doesnt cost much ..The gasket is literally flacking apart if I touch it areas, I was thinking I could check the torque on the head but I really don’t think that help.
I’m going to keep the hood that’s on the truck I just want a stock option or the other way around.
His truck is sc - and it's red (lol)So your a manual trans .. SC not a QC
