calling all RC's

hey guys, im having a small squeaking noise coming from the clutch when i press it in or out, under load and not under load. it doesn't matter what rpm, but if i turn up the music or get on the throttle i can't hear it. its not really annoying but i was just wondering if anyone else has expierienced this slight squeak outta their RC and if you might have taken it to the dealer for it or not.

I had the same problem last week and my new clutch is on order as I type. The noise is still driving me nuts.

How many miles do you have on your truck?

I'm going to do the upgraded slave and master set up with the factory clutch and see how that works out.

Stock master uses a plastic rod which (on mine) squeak's, clicks, etc..

Upgraded to the viper master w/ the metal rod, and all is gone..

I just posted in another thread, I have 34,000 with the stock clutch, And no problems yet. Believe me i do not baby it.

Dude you have the record for most miles on a stock clutch!!!!! Congrats!!


Squeeks might lead to bad slave/master. Mine was squeeking before it went out...........at 3k miles.

Master/Slave unit is going out, replace it soon or clutch will be next

I have 6000 miles on mine with no problems yet. I also run the piss out of mine. The only problems I have is my Magnaflow pipe vibrate when I first start up. I guess I will have to weld it all up when I put my cattless mid on.

same thing for me at 4800, at the dealers getting fixed right now , it was the slave

Mine has 30K miles and has been doing this on/off for the last 10K. So far dealer is saying...."normal". Its not at a volume to justify taking it to the next level with Dodge CS.

Mine has 4300 miles and the squeak started about 2K ago. Haven't noticed any changes in performance though.

just picked the truck up tonight, had to put a new clutch and slave in ,4800 miles , all warrenty work :rock:

I had the exact problem with my Magnaflow. I loosened one of the clamps forward of the muffler, smacked the muffler a little with my fist, then tightened it back up just not as tight. No more rattle. I'll probably still get it welded since those clamps don't seal well.

i really don't want to take the truck back to the dealer, i just got it back from the crank pulley repair. i think im gonna talk to the viper tech tomorrow about it and see what he says.
