Caltrac help

1.5 turns works great on mine!! They still make a little noise like on speed bumps, but it's minimal.

I do have some squeeking coming from the springs in back, gonna have to look into that.

I talked with John Calvert about his bars and he said that a minimum of 1.5 turns was necessary on a street truck like ours.

He is one of the greatest suspension gurus for door cars in the world, the man knows a lot of good stuff.

if you used a rubber hose to stop the noise check it often, it will wear out quickly because i did the same thing. finally went to a place here in town that makes a hard plastic and got some scraps from them and cut it to fit and used 2 part epoxy to glue it. tightened them down and wala no more squeaking. sent the leftovers to other members on here. i can get more if needed.

When I was farting around under there, reefin around on shit to see and I noticed that one of the squeeks I'd been hearing was the side to side motion of the bars in the donut bearing....I shot the donut bearings up with synthetic oil and wiped it down all around and voila!! No more squeeks....I thought it was my springs too!! I also know that the front bushing will squeek if not adequately greased on install, so I gooped mine up with synthetic grease when I put it in and it has stayed quiet.

Aside from the clanking over some bumps, is anybody else getting really annoying squeaking, and rubbing noises coming from the springs and Caltracs?
