Heres my $.02, I'll try to be as unbiased as I can.

I feel that the aftermarket traction bars such as Moes and Caltracs are better that my stage 1 traction kit ONLY because there is adjustability that I dont have there. Its a very large price difference (almost 3 times as much) however.

My stage 2 kit adds the adjustability of taller snubbers for the track, and a 12 way adjustable shock to prevent axle wrap. Now I feel that my stage 2 package goes alot farther than a traction bar because your attacking the problem at three different places (horizontal shock, spring clamps, and traction bar) instead of one. Its also still cheaper than the aftermarket bars. However it does not have the unlimited adjustability at the snubber that some of the aftermarket bars have, it has a street and track setting instead. Both are easy to adjust, the aftermarket bars probably a couple minutes facter at best. Install is supposedly much quicker for my stuff (about an hour for the whole Stage 2 Package) and ground clearance is stock still. The aftermarket bars are easy to see, and my traction packages take a trained eye to notice, that can be good or bad depending on your own personal taste. So basically when comparing the JMB Stage 2 Traction package to Aftermarket bars:

JMB Pro:
Cheaper
Stock ground clearance
Easy install
3 solutions for one problem

JMB Con:
Doesnt have unlimited adjustability at the snubber
Not as flashy as aftermarket bars (con depending on personal taste)

Feel free to put your .02 as well, I tried to be unbiased as possible :D .

I just received a set caltracs and am interested in your setup also, mainly the adjustable shocks. Are there any issues with using the caltracs and the qa1's w/the spring clamps also? Will traction be any better or would the clamps and cals cause probs w/each other? Also, do the qa1's work w/rear lowered 2"? Thanks!
