Got the Caltracs on and am a little confused about the adjustment process. From what I understand, I turn the bars until they touch the leaf spring. I got that part, no problem. Now here's were I'm confused. The instructions say to turn the bars another 1/4 turn more after they touch and then lock them down. From what I've been reading on here, most people turn them 1 and a 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 turns more after they touch. :dontknow: Which is the correct way and why the difference? Thanks as always for the help.:)

Ditto Here ........ Steve ....... Got mine back from the powdercoater today. Will be installing over the next couple weeks. Any help is appreciated on the final adjustments.

yeah about a turn some have theres dialed in like justin and jack they should check in im sure

takes two folks, the driver needs to be in the drivers seat, another person to adjust.

about a half tank of fuel

turn it till it touches

then about a turn and a half

that is a good starting point from there, you will have to adjust to each persons likieng

and for info

we will now powder coat the bars before or after purchase for $40 :)

Follow Stinker's advice he is on the money. I had mine cranked down two turns past touching the leaf springs. One note, make sure that front edge of the leaf springs are not binding with the front Caltrac hangers. Mine were and I had to file the corners down to give the springs enough clearance. If the springs are touching, you will not get the full action of the Caltracs.

Thanks Steve .....
It was pretty straight forward to install. Just getting those bushings out were a bitch, even with our press at work. And I did the front and rear leaf spring bushings, because I was installing Energy Suspension bushings in the rear of the leaf spring.

One other note. The tighter you get the higher your rear sticks up.

That's odd. The looser she got, the higher her rear stuck up.

No wonder I never got any traction with her.:D

.

better traction, but mainly it keeps the truck in line also , instead of a snaky burnout, you get a good long straight line.

a note for those thinking, I have both the rc and theqc on the site now for $389 shipped, they are going up aobut $10 , calverts had a price increase along with recon, and I will be making changes this weekend on those prices.

and if you want the bars powder coated we can ahndle that also, takes about a week to do:)
