Well I got off work after only 9 hours today and I had an hour to burn before I met some friends for a beer. 
So I figured I would stop by Video Only and look at cheap camcorders. Figured that since I was going to buy the one a Griots, I would see what I could get in the same price range. Well that was an expensive mistake.
Oh well. Have a nice new camcorder, and I get to give my daugher and her husband the old one.
Have to admit. After looking at all of they had, it's damn nice.
