Can I win over an '07 Vette?

Has any one of you that has the stage II, and not beefed up the transmission had any problems? That is what worries me. when I had a problem with the engine, DC gave me a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, and I'm somehow afraid I gonna void it.

Big Dave...........how ya doin'?

That's what surprised me. He actually thought I was a bit crazy for even thinking I could hang with him, much less beat him.

It doesn't make any difference to me whether I win or lose, but I sure would like to see his reaction to the performance of these trucks.

You can Order a Custom Pcm and If you have any problems put the stock Pcm back in take it to the dealer and bingo You can have warranty work done and Even a Brand new Tranny if something goes wrong:rock: I don't think any of the members had problems with their trannies After the stage 2 Flash. even without the flash the tranny will start slipping. But you should be alright:rock:

Exactly. You are both stock.

The 07 Vette at 400 hp and 3200 pounds should run around 13 flat. Your truck stock should run around 13.6 to 13.8

Race him and hope he misses a shift.
Actually, both the autos and sticks can run in the 12's... as long as he can drive ;)

Doing pretty good Lee. Except for almost taking two fingers off with a skil saw. Had to get some stitches in the two fingers between the index and little finger. All will heal fine in time. I was building a handicapped ramp for my inlaws last Saturday and got a little careless. Won't let that happen again. Hope all is well with you. BD

D'oh.........

Sounds like you were working with a un-skil-led saw.:D

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad to hear everything will be fine.

My uncle used to say about finger injuries........soak 'em in cider (inside her), and they will be just fine.:D

Can't blame the saw. I was the idiot that had a momentary loss of judgment. And that's all it took.

LOL, My wife gets the heebie jeebies just looking at them. Besides, the stitches might feel scratchy.:D BD

SilverSRT10, glad that your going to heal up fine.............but if you were building a handicaped ramp I think you are not supposed to be the handicapped for the end result:dontknow: :) :D

Hey Lee,

You wont have any problems with your tranny. I'm running a S/C on the stock tranny and i haven't had any major issues yet. I do run my truck hard!! The only miles it sees are not friendly ones So be rest assured that with even a Stage II you will be fine. :)

As for the race, GL. I can barely hang with Z06's, unless he can't drive... can't count how many of those i've met. Too much money, i guess.

Thanks, and your absolutely correct. One of the dumbest things I've ever done. But it could have been a lot worse. BD

Let us know how the showdown goes Lee.

GO FOR IT MAN......
IF YOU CAN... DO THE 1/8 MILE BECAUSE YOU ARE STOCK...
BUT MANNNN YOU NEED TO GET THE STAGE 2 THAT IS A MUST FOR US QC... MINE REALY WAKED UP AND I HAVE A 06 TOO.

WE NEED TO DO A GTG IN THIS AREA....

let this be a gauge. My 05 10 with drop in, and exhaust, vs my wifes 06 srt-8. 1st gear i win, i shift into second and she passes me like a frickn bat out'a hell. her car has a drop in and removed the resonators, and shes a good 150 lbs less the i am. the vette will beat my 8 and my 8 will flat out wipe my 10.

You'll lose but youll have fun!

Buy a stage 2 ditch the cats and then go at it again.

Well, I got both, and I got my dad to run my Vette against the SRT-10, and the Vette won, standing starts and on a roll. Stock vs. stock the Vette wins, but it is fun as hell.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone.

I knew I could glean some good info from you guys............

I'm going to tell him to put up or shut up, and see where we go from there.

Like all said............it will be fun either way.

Now.............where did I put my modding money...............?
