Honda just produced it 300,000,000 motorcycle. Yep, that's right, 300 million. Don't particularly care for Honda but this is really a milestone.
Didnt Honda original start out making motorcycles to begin with before getting into cars?
Soichiro Honda grew up helping his father repair bicycles. Like many young men he headed for Tokyo and got a job repairing cars. This is where he self taught himself how to make better piston rings. (common failure) Prior to WW2 he branch out on his own starting a company that supplied piston rings to Toyota. Nothing was left of his business after the war....bombed. A few years later he founded Honda (If I recall - Honda Technical something) building motorized bicycles. Throughout his career he revolutionized engineering standards as well as changed motorcycle racing...several times.
