Can you Over Insulate the exhaust.. ie.. heat wrap and jet hot coating?

Would this be a good idea .. jet hot coat the headers and well then wrap the headers as well..... is there such thing as over insulating? or would this work well... anyone tried this?

I'm not sure that would be a good idea.

The Jet-Hot coating is specialized in regards to how it dissipates heat. Preventing that with a header wrap might defeat it's purpose.

I'd shoot Jet-Hot a quick email asking them what they think.

Contain all the heat you can inside the hedders, I don't think it would hurt.

The problem with wraps, is holding in moisture and destroying over time, your headers.

But to reiterate:
Wrapping Jet-Hot coated headers voids the Jet-Hot warranty and is unnecessary.
