...my dad was wondering if there is a trick to turn off the auto door lock function when you hit a certain speed. He hates everytime he gets out of his truck and goes to open the back door, it's locked. Thought since yall knew how to turn off the seatbelt dinger, maybe there's a chance. TIA.

I had a Quad cab, wasn't a SRT but you could turn that feature off. Don't remember how but it is in your owners manual. I use to hate that also, that is how I know you can turn it off cause I did. My new 06 also locks the door at speed but this one unlocks all the doors when you cut the ingintion off, Much better IMHO

They say it's in the owner manual. Turn the key on/off 3 times and sumpin, sumpin, sumpin... Make a new thread and ask.

I just did that today on my new truck :) You get in the truck shut the door plug in your seat belt turn the ignition switch on DO NOT START. When the seat belt light goes off unlatch your seat belt then latch it back . do that 3 times and on the third time leave it latched then turn the ignition switch off. You should hear a chime to let you know you did it correctly GOOD LUCK

Automatic Door Locks:

1. Enter your vehicle and close all doors.
2. Fasten your seat belt (fastening the seat belt will cncel any chiming that may confuse you during this programming procedure.)
3. Place the key into the ignition.
4. Within 10 seconds cycle the key from the OFF position to the ON position four tims; ending in the ON position (DO NOT START ENGINE)
5. Within 30 seconds, press the driver's door lock switch in the LOCK position.
6. A single chime will be heard to indicate the feature has been disabled.
7. To reactivate this feature, repeat the above steps.
8. If a chime is not heard, program mode was canceled before the feature could be disabled. If necessary, repeat the above procedure.

The End,
Jim
