Me and my wife spent 10 hours in the baking sun saturday at the local dragstrip. It was a 2 race event. I backed the truck up to the fence by the 60 ft marker, put the tailgate down, set up the grill, put the coolers under the truck for shade, and put up the lawn chairs in the bed. We had the best view at the track. But the florida humidity, the heat from the black bedliner and the sun was unbearable! We dripped sweat all day and got blistered. What a buzz kill when your sweat drips in your beer.

I want a canopy/tent to park the truck under. To keep some shade on my ass while im drinkin! I want something sturdy enough i dont have to worry about the wind blowing it into my truck and scratching it up, and easy to assemble and take down.

I would like it to be red (red truck) and i will send the fabric somewhere to have it embroidered with VTCOA.com on 2 sides and Ram SRT-10 on the other 2. Does anyone know where i can get this!?

Also would it be over doing it me and the wife sported matching red fatjacks Shirts (http://bcreativemonogramming.com), and had the embroidered canopy? I mean i dont want to look like a tool out there but the wife wants it saying we would look like a race team? Not the image i want, but the wife loves you guys and wants to show some support.

Those folding canopys will work, you see them for tailgating at ball games. WalMart sells them, but make sure to get the nicer (more expensive) one as it is MUCH more heavy duty. The truck will easily fit under it. This is what I take to the track or ball games. WalMart typically only has blue but if you search online I'm sure they can be had in red.

I got mine off of Ebay for about $100. It's one of the EZ-UP types and the structure is made of aluminum to reduce weight and it won't rust. You also might consider getting the white canopy to reflect the sun instead of absorbing it. You can still have the logo's done in red to match the truck and to catch passer byers eye's.

the ez- ups usually come with stakes so a light wind wont lift it...

True mine came with them and a canvas transport case, but if your on pavement, take a couple small buckets of sand and tie the canopy down to them. Or find a way to use the truck as a tiedown.
