Canton oil filter

So who here is running the Canton oil filter?

Had one...the first one made all kinds of noise. I finally got it to quiet down, but another Canton product failed and cost me my whole engine (you can search for that). The new Viper motor oil filter flows much better than the original, I wouldn't waste my time with Canton...ever again. If the oil filter fails for any reason, you are on your own. It is an aftermarket modification. Just think of it like this: if your OEM filter fails you have pretty good recourse, Canton's fails and you are screwed.

With the Canton filter I just don't see a real benefit?

I had the Canton. Had a weird noise that drove me crazy. Finally took the filter off. Jrgnd did the same also. Stay away!!!

Tried it on mine...fluttering noise. Took it off and went back to oem.

tryed one hated it took it off. but the funny thing is i lve less then 2mins from cantons shop in branford ct, ill have to stop by and put a bug in there hear. and there not a big place

Ask them if they have a solution...Boomer tried to put it on two Ram SRT 10's (one was mine) and it fluttered like crazy on both...it is a nice looking item, but the noise is a "no go" issue.

What is this thing supposed to do? Over and better than the OEM filter.

Nothing really. It is billet and looks nice...bling...I believe that it has some sort of back flow filter and that seems to be the source of the fluttering noise.

Along with my accusump, this is one of my best mods!

Never had an issue with it. May have even partially saved my engine.
