My current CD player has 3 outputs I believe,

I've been wanting to go to an in-dash and found a really good deal on this in-dash, however it only has 2 ouputs I believe.

My question is, with only 2 outputs does this mean I can only hook up my front and rear speakers with no subwoofer or will this work to power everything?

i took a look at both...the Kenwood has 2 audio a/v connections and 1 subwoofer a/v connection

the JVC only has 2 a/v connections most likely being front and rear connections and no S/W connection... although you could use one of those connection to run your s/w amp and use the other one for speakers.

So could I make my system sound the same with the in-dash tv? I have two amps, one for subwoofers and one for the speakers.

Possibly depending on your amp....
I'm assuming the amp for your door speakers is front & rear a/v output. and the one for your sub your only using one a/v output...

The only way to get around using Front & Rear a/v cables for the door speakers if you have all of them running off either the Front or the rear a/v channel... to do this you have to be certain of your ohm's on the speaker and make sure that your amp is that ohm stable....

meaning if you have 4 ohm door speakers and you combine front and the back it would now be a 2 ohm speaker b/c of the wiring...you would have to make sure your amp is capable of running 2ohms safely and at what wattage it puts out..

The big thing with a dedicated S/W output like the Kenwood, is it provides a better Voltage usually 4.5V+ on a Kenwood excelon, where as on the JVC it may only be 2-3V...the voltage sends better signal to your amp and drives the sub better...thats usually why subs sound much better on aftermarket units rather than adding a line output convertor to a factory radio!

The amp powering the speakers is the QA-4160

looks like if you use only 2 channels its rated at 4 ohms putting out 2x640w
I'm sure that will be enough to power your speakers but you need to know what ohms your speakers are so you can figure out what they will be after pairing them on the same channel they should come out to 4 ohms...

You may want to go over to a audio forum or get in touch with 5_0bait...

Are you using all 3 outputs on the Kenwood now? or only 2?

See that's the thing, I bought the truck with all of the stereo stuff already in it. So I don't know how many outputs are being used. I know that all of the speakers are MTX, but not much more than that.

I just installed a JVC headunit with 2 pairs of outputs--I'm running the front speakers off a 2-channel amp, the subwoofer off a mono amp, and the rear speakers off the headunit's internal amplifier. This is my second JVC, and both had 5 volt outputs; I would guess yours probably does too.
