Aw crap.....more goat pics from Stinker....
From: WAZZSUP
"
Hey man! There's a car/bike show in a little town about an hour from here and maybe a little further for you. I'm going to head over there and check it out. You up for showing the truck today?"
Hmmm...the truck *is* pretty clean (outside).
It *is* a beautiful day- 80F, not a cloud in the sky.
Let's GoogleMap this place and find out where exactly is it...hmmm...not far away at all.
Rachel digs checking out all the custom work; maybe she's up for a little jaunt and lots of chrome.
Damn...this means I have to shower now. I was hoping to put that off until right before dinner. Oh well.
Rachel is up for the trip, so off we go......to the gas station.
$2.99/gal. NICE.
$50 limit at the pump. BOOO.
On I-71 South, we passed this BMW Motorcycle Motorsports semi.
Note the huge ad on the trailer side:
The driver gave a big thumbs up to match his big smile as I dropped a gear and took off after the pic was taken.
(No- I was not street racing a 60,000 lb. semi.)
Here's what it looks once you're about 30 min. south of Columbus:
You're officially in the Midwest.
Chances of a cop being on this stretch: 0.000000001%
Chances of Kev doing a WOT check on this stretch: 99.99999999%
Formal greeters to visitors of the Midwest:
We arrive at the show and Tom meets us over by my truck. Just in time to take a couple of pics:
Here are some of the vehicles that were in the same row as me:
- Nice flip-front!
- Yep- a guy brought a 1960 Mack truck to the show.
In all honesty, it was pretty cool (the owner self-admitted he's still got lots of work to do on it). BTW- It has (2) shifters that you have to shift at the same time, and no power steering! Trucking was a JOB back then.
- '70 Chevelle SS454 LS-5
That was my personal 'best in show'.
- BeGood's newest creation.
- Marty McFly's ride
Guy in red shirt: "So...it *doesn't* have a HEMI in it?"
WAZZSUP: *sigh*....*do I have to do this AGAIN?*

WAZZSUP's son in yellow shirt: *He didn't just ask him the H-question, did he? Oh man.....*
WAZZSUP's row:
A closeup of WAZZSUP's N20 setup.
The "Bed Of Doom" from WAZZSUP's truck.
There were bikes there than ran the full gamut of 2-wheelers (and 3-wheelers). Some were cool, but a few were "in progress".
Orange bike.
Sunny day + Chrome = good.
I liked the rake/shape of this bike. The paint was cool, but the chrome was fantastic.
The ghost flames on the tank of this bike were SUPER! You really had to look for them, even in the sun. They were hard to photograph.
Giving WAZZSUP some competition for Best Truck was this guy (don't remember year/make/model). Gorgeous bed in this thing. The rest of the truck was just as nice.
Found a new 2-wheeler for Stinker!
My buddy Justin in TX is big into the 6-cylinder bikes (Honda, Kawasaki, etc.). These bikes are pretty cool, and can suck down some gas!
Old school! The ape hangers on this bike should give Silverback a tent in his shorts.
A really nice red chopper.
An old Triumph that looked great!
Rachel was sure that this was going to spur me into dreaming up my next project.
I think I'll pass.
It was getting REALLY hot out (about 90F, and very little shade), so we said goodbye to WAZZSUP and headed back to Columbus.
As I left the parking lot and got on the main road, I did another WOT check and chirped 1-2 just to make sure everything was still working properly.
(WAZZSUP told me tonight that the guy on the PA system said "I hope he comes back and does a pass *this* way (pointing behind him). LOL)
A fun day, albeit hot. It was good to see Tom again.
I'm sure we'll be doing more shows in the future.
