I am looking for informaton on a 06 QC.

This radio I am looking at, needs to have at least a 4 in opening where the stock radio goes. I have not seen my truck in person so I am not sure if this would work or not. Can anyone tell me if this particular radio would work for the 06 QC Trucks.

Or what system would you recommend?

You can make any radio work if you want to go through the hassel. I have the pioneer AVIC-N3 dvd/nav unit in my truck. The problem with putting any head unit in these trucks is the factory amp setup. It really is easier to do a complete system instead of just a head unit.

What I did wad rewire the complete truck to bypass the factory amps. I used the amp in the deck to run the 4 speakers in the doors and heind the seats then I wired in an amp mono to run the 12" sub that I put in the factory sub location. In the end it sounds a hell of alot better than the stock setup and was not very expensive to do.

Hope this helps

I had a zapco amp installed in mine. It works with all of the factory gear but pushes the power up.:)

How much better is it with just a new amp? Which Amp did you install?

TIA

It actually is made by Zapco. It works with the factory presets in your stereo. Mine is a 650 watt 4 channel amp and the sub is mono (yes it's the factory infinity) and it freakin hurts when you crank it. MUhahahahahaha!!!!God I love amperage!!!!!:D

Anyone know if there's a device for the Pioneer units which allows full function (including Nav for the AVIC series) when the vehicle is moving?

I have such a device for my Alpine units and love it. It's my most serious complaint with the factory REC Nav unit - can't program unless you're stopped. @#!$%#$ lawyers! What if the passenger wanted to do the adjustments...? Grr....

Here is an idea of what you can do in a QC ,rear seat fully fonctional ,massage included...

The reason behind this one was because it had the extra 10 GB storage for more music.....

But thanks I will look around more when i get home though..

Dec 9th I am heading back to Jacksonville, NC then drive to Alabama, so if I see anyone on the road, hope you will have time to chat..

I just want a kick ass system.. On the 06 will a double DIN as they call them in the radio world fit in the area of the radio?

dodge has that rounded thing, which i a 1.5 din. So a 2 will only fit if you have your dash reworked, like i did for mine. Other than going that route, you'll have to use a 1.0 din and use a dash kit to fill in the space. I personally hate the look of those dashkits. So i went with a double din, and just had them make it fit.

If you have the cash go with the Pioneer AVIC-Z1

And then go here and you can read up on how to bypass the unit so it has full function when driving.

Just hope that if you order one they don't give you and older one. I got a new one (after July 2006) and bypassing it is very very very easy.
