Cat issues...

Hey folks! I've been putting it off for a long time now, but I need new Cats to pass inspection here in NY. I only need the passenger side as of now, but I would probably like to do both. The stealer wants $1800 for just one side!! I was wondering if magnaflow makes a set of cats that fit our trucks and still able to pass NYS emissions. Or anything that isn't $1800 for one side

Any universal highflow cats should work fine. I would check out one of the vendors.

I just gave away my old stock cats. But the right front was starting to melt shut on them. The left side was fine. I'm going through the same nightmare with my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Tried to get a good take off from the junkyard next door to my work. As it turns out it's illegal for them to sell used catalytic converters. Guy at the counter told me it's a $10,000 fine for doing it. I told him that I might as well just let the thing (Jeep) here. I guess that's your government tax dollars at work.
