With the symptoms he has, I would not want to be standing next to the engine if he puts it on a dyno...likely to end up with a sucking chest wound from block shrapnel.

ike you mentioned you re oiled the filters on the catch cans, it done that when i oiled them too. wash them out and let them dry and see if it does it. after a while it wouldnt do that unless you ran it hard.
it made 4 runs on the dyno in macon with no problems. yes it has blow by, most do. i dont see the 5d card being lean.Prof said:

I get on it, but I've only gone hard into 3rd gear 5 times....................... give or take. Like I said nothing like the SRT-8 or my other truck. It's been doing that from the day I bought it. We just didn't now it was this bad. If you look at it from the right angle it is steaming, it's blow by and heck i've only had it driveable for 3 weeks. The woes of FI, I just wish I could've enjoyed the fun of FI

That will all change when it goes forged.............

Eddie I raced a buddy yesterday from 0-40, him in a stock QC and I barely beat him........................... It's felt nuttless for a week or two.
When I got home from buying it, I had to wipe oil off the fender well.
I'm not upset with you at all and nobody needs to think that. I'm pissed, I'm really really really pissed and depressed. But not at you, not at all.
all this and my 65" DLP went out on Xmas EVE LOL

That sucks man but it could always be worse, right? Atleast it didn't come apart on you and put a freakin hole in the block. PLUS, now you can go for more boost:rock:

I know what you mean about not being able to enjoy it. I'm scared to death to even drive mine. That's why it's sitting 1500 miles away at my dads place in TX.

I just got a call from Houston Engine Builders
They told me 2500 to build a 522................ If I provide the parts 5000 if they use their parts.
add 2000 if I go with billet mains. Balanced/Blueprinted!

2000 is about right for the mains , but bud be careful thats aweful cheap for the rest of it

I'm just tossing things around.
I asked them if they ever did the .020 undercut.
They said hey we do anything and build viper engines all the time, heck it's only an aluminum 360 with 2 extra cylinders (basicly). He told me if you want to cut the crank, for roughly 600 bucks more you can stroke it with a standard chevy piston for 521-522 cid............
They said they use Manley rods, JE gas ported piston 9 to 1, and total seal rings with some special top compression ring, I cant remember the name. Thats what they've built blown engines in the past with..
and 5 to 6 built................ That will leave me money next year to go with thunder road stage 3 heads, rockers, and cam!
