Causes for a rolling idle?

My truck just started having a rolling idol at cold start up. It does it for a couple of minutes until starts to warm up and then it goes away. Any ideas what would cause this, or a way to alleviate it?

By rolling do you mean a surge?

A rolling idle is a surge. Like where the revs go up and down.

I have a feeling it may be my IAC, but i just wante some other opinions. Maybe if someone else had it happen.

Likely TPS but clean IAC first then proceed to TPS.

By rolling do you mean a surge?

rollin is a smooth/soft surge, increase/decrease in rpm's:rock:

a reg. surge is sort like ya when ya are yankin your dinky

i'd say IAC. have struggled with this for over 6 months, cleaning, oiling, adjusting set screw on TB. Finally i gave up and spent 70 bucks on new IAC. No prob since.

I might just by both the IAC and TPS for good measure. Only bout $100 in parts and a few minutes to swap. Thanks for the input guys.
