On the VCA (Viper club of america) forum a guy asked about Woodhouse. Of course numerous people responded about their positive experiences.

I also felt obligated to chime in with my many good experiences and as well all know the negative one with them and another dealership. Mind you I havent to date even gone into any depth about what happened several months ago on that forum...only this one with some detail.

Soon after I posted the moderator removed my text until he could verify from the parties I listed that what I said was true. Of course they said it wasnt true...why would they acknowledge it?

I then mentioned that my 1 negative post isnt going to shut their dealership down and within a week the thread would be burried in the archives.

Within probably an hour the entire thread was removed. I guess since they are a paying vendor only the positive comments make it through, not the negative from the party involved (me).

I then offered to talk on the phone with the moderator (sent him a pm asking for his number) to explain first hand what had happened to me but as of now I havent heard back.

Anyway, thought you guys may be interested.

Yes, from a owners point-of-view, its a real tough spot. On one side, the vendor is the bread and butter of the forum, but on the other side, the members is what makes the forum. Vendors and members are both needed to make the forum survive.

I think every forum administration looks and takes the situation differently. I like to hear both sides (as we have before w/ X-Metal, and Venom motorsports), as with every business, there is always good and bad transactions. I feel it is important, for the sake of the members, that they read feedback from other members about a vendor.

Now if there are many complaints about a specific vendor (read mofo LOL), then it is the forums duty to remove the vendor ASAP IMO.

The VCA is slightly different though, the owner of the VCA and myself talk from time to time, and he really doesn't have much say on the forum, as dodge pretty much tells him what to do and how to run it...so its slightly different on that forum; I wont go much into detail :)

My 2 cents about it

Hey patrick!! Can I borrow 2 cents? Cause that makes some cents bro!:D Sorry, I hate being serious but I think you made a good point...however I bet it would have been decent to atleast PM Dave back whoever removed it. I'm sure he would have understood this reasoning....Just my 1 cent, I'm too broke to make anymore!:D:D:D

that is one reason why Ebay format is good - if you have a bad expierence with a seller you can let everyone know, then they can respond to your negative comments, and they are there for everyone to look at and judge for themselves.

Knowing nothing about any of the situations being discussed above, it dows seem very shady to not let someone with a legitimate beef to voice their own experience with regard to a specific incident/topic.

It's almost as if you (admin) are saying, since they pay the bills nothing else matters

not that this forum does that, as this was created out of a struggle for free speech, but in general

I was a moderator on PT.net for a while. The rules there were no vendor bashing. You could post complaints, just couldn't bash the vendor.

Dave was your post in the woodhouse section? That might be a reason it was removed also as the vendors controll their own section.

The question from the original poster was in the GenIII section. I still havent heard back from the moderator about discussing the subject with him. Apparently it made it to Viper Alley as someone else noted the whole subject was removed.
