I just installed a new centerforce clutch this weekend and am in the process of breaking it in. My entrance for my garage is at a slight incline and I have been having trouble with the clutch slipping when entering it. I am just wondering if anyone else, with a centerforce installed, knows if this problem will clear up after the break-in period. Should I wait until after the break-in period before I use the garage? I have been told that during the break-in period the disc, presure plate, and flywheel materials bond, which make the clutch stronger, I hope this is the case.

Any insight on this will be appreciated.

You can slip it slightly during break-ins....be gentle on the RPM's, and try to slip (if going to) @ low RPMS.

Even the stock clutch may chatter a bit when it's new.....

Alot depends on the individual truck, but I think it'll go away.... Mine did.

did you space the slave cylinder?

No, I did not space the slave cylinder, I was not aware that it needed to be, unless I upgraded to the viper slave and master cylinder. How far does it need to be spaced with the Centerforce clutch?

It does not need to be shimmed with the factory hydraulics. Be advised, you more-then-likely will need to upgrade the hydraulics with an aftermarket clutch. The factory hydraulics dont do well with heat and added pressure resistance due to the new clutch kit.

Ok Russell I thought you might have put the entire kit in, tell ya what , try this, try bleeding the fluid from the cylinder and replacing with new, worth a try, youmay get some slipping ,but really not much
