centerforce clutch

I have about 10k miles on my clutch and it needs to be replaced. The clutch has seen alot of heat. Is centerforce the way to go or has anyone had good luck with another brand? I am installing a Roe SC with a 10 PSI pulley and it will be a daily driver about 1/2 the year and drag raced at least 100 passes this year. Thanks for your help.

I have the centerforce/fidanza setup and have been very happy. Is the fidanza worth it? Hard to say. One thing we do know, you do have to upgrade your master/slave to the viper unit. You cannot cheap out on that mod. I bought my setup from Roe..........I would talk with them since your getting a SC'r from them.

I know VPRPWR had the exact setup as me with a paxton and NOS.........ran it over 100 times down the track with no problems.

I have upgraded the master/slave but I have the stock flywheel. I'm going to stay with the stock flywheel or try DC's flywheel.

Perfect, then you only need the CF clutch. I would talk with the boys at Roe and ask them their professional opinion about the CF clutch and that much track use. It is by far the most installed aftermarket clutch in our trucks.

Cool..........I know the perfect beachside bar!!!!

The difference in power transfer between the stock clutch and the CF is unreal!!! After I had mine broken in, I did some full throttle runs to fourth gear and could not believe how much more powerful my truck felt. But you must adhear to the break in...........very important.

I have a CF clutch now and have been happy with it. The stock clutch was toast after 7k miles. The CF still works find no slipping but has seen some very high temps. So with the motor & trans out I thought I'd put a new clutch in.

Oh................I guess it would help if I read your sig line.

Did you slip it with high rpms? When I talked with the CF tech's they really stressed no slipping whatsoever.

no slipping. when I race I leave @ 1500 rpm. but stop & go traffic is hard on the clutch.was just wandering if others have tried other brands before I bought another CF.

DC sells a different one, I forget the brand, maybe ATC or something. Otherwise there is not much to choose from. RPS, no way, McLeod, great product but fitment has been an issue in some members trucks.

I think on Wed you will get more replies from other members than just me.

I'm waiting for a new custom clutch to be delivered- I contacted this company thru one of my contacts who knows my driving style- I have heard nothing but great things about this company and their reputation with their customers. When the package comes in I will start up a new thread.....

I have run the mcleod dual disc for about 5000 or so miles no probs at all, fitment went well also
and I think JMb Justin just installed one in a customers truck, so you could also ask Justin.
Its finicky, but it does stick!

I have had the CF clutch in my truck for 30,000 miles. 5 of those with the Roe blower and it still is hooking fine. I think it's getting towards the end of it's life but she's still good. I am running 4:88's which I believe has alot to do with the extended life.

As for your Fly wheel, if your are gonna road race I would go with Fidanza lightweight, if your gonna race the 1/4 or 1/8 mile the stocker would be better.

OH, and definitely do the Master/Slave upgrade!!

i've had no problems with my centerforce, but you must upgrade those hydraulics - like Marc T said ........
i did the fidanza flywheel too...... for everyday driving, it's definitely more finicky to use, the stock flywheel is better....... but for racing, the fidanza has alot more snap.......
