Centerforce Clutch

Love the new clutch set up....no chatter with it...been great...little different launch due to the new grip, and quicker RPM increase. Needed the Caltracks after the upgrade...i was laying down 40' of second gear powershifting with the new centerforce.
Oddly...I dynoed the best #'s after the new set up...stocker had to be slipping a bit before...and it was shot when ROE pulled it.
Stocker made it to 7400 miles

Much Grass Guys

I talked with D.C. And they said they were having trouble with the centerforce.Had 5 or so come back. Also said to stay with the stock flywheel,Because the heat is to much for the aluminum. Recommended ACT clutch but have not been able to find one for our trucks. Mostly for rice burners. They do sound like a good product though. Thanks for all the input. Looks like centerforce with stock fly. so far.

I'll be upgrading to the centerforce soon, but will retain the stock flywheel. I'll just have the stocker turned before reinstallation.

for what its worth i install a fidanza billet flywheel with every clutch job we do. they are SFI approved, and the engagment & feel is superb. we keep them in stock & we have installed over 20 of them with NO problems. we always use our slave & master cylinder kit, centerforce dual friction set up & the billet flywheel. the flywheel uses a Billet STEEL insert for the clutch to grab to, and its replaceable. the Aluminum, is just the carrier for that, so it saves on the weight of the assembley.
i have had this setup in my 04 since 04!

Glad you jumped in Boomer. Are you familiar with ACT clutch'es? DC said thats the way to go, Maybe cause im a daily, But said to stay with stock fly. You prolly need to slip the clutch a little being a daily,And they said thats not good for the centerforce.
