Well I was gearing up for a 1/2 triathalon in October but I have a change of plans due to an injury. So I thinking about what some of our(VTCOA) members goals were. Wether its quit smoking, post hoing, speeding(not sure why) or getting your truck tuned.
Well this is mine, January 1st my goal is 150 chinups, 150 pullups, 200 dips and 400 pushups in under an hour.
I set out to see where I stand tonight and was kind of pleased with my result. This is after a full week (5 days) of working out, and most people cant hang with my workouts.
I did some weigthed reps so that threw off my numbers:
Chinups: 13 reps with 25# weight belt, 42 reps just body weight
Pullups: 6 reps with 25# weight belt, 30 reps body weight
Dips: 45 reps with 25# weight belt, 81 reps body weight
pushups: 150 reps

So post up what you want to do by year end and lets stick to it, the 1st of every month (starting Oct 1st)I am going to test myself to see where I am at!
I think my pushups were bad because I did 200 at the end of my workout this morning as a cool down.
 
All my impressive fitness aspirations are behind me.....

At my age, my joints can't take it anymore.... causing injuries and setbacks.

But in my prime I was doing 1000 reps on the Chinese wheel per day. Finished with 50 of those wheel reps standing up....

Nowadays, my goal is to remain healthy for the next 30 years if possible....

I have seen your training schedule. How many penis pulls and scroatum squats do you do every day?!:D

Good luck to ya:rock: You should be able to do it after a few months of training for it. You got me curious now lol. I'm taking this weekend off from the gym, but I'll try it next week and let you know...

little sore today, but not as bad as i thought I would be.
 
Last December I screwed up my right shoulder. Ended up resting it for 6 months, then I started lifting again.

My initial goal was to get back to where I was on the bench - 225lbs/20 reps. At first, I could barely get 205 for 13-14, but it ramped up quick.

After about 1 month, I reached that goal. Shoulder feels pretty damn good too, but that doesn't mean I'm looking to mess it up again. The other day I did 250 for 15 reps.

Besides lifting twice a week, I generally do pushups at least twice a week (80 is my number), and situps on the Roman Chair every morning before work (75,,, at 3am). I'm not comparing myslelf to Arnold, but I feel pretty good for being F'n 40 years old.:p

I'm 6'4: and still weigh ~265, so I'm not gaining weight. And while I'd like to lose some weight, I also like to eat.:D And drink beer.(Which is what I'm doing right now!:beer:)

I only started drinking last night.....Some of the shit I posted was from another person Bwahahahhaa....F@ck you Dennis...What I said about the push ups and sit ups is true....Come train with me so I can choke you :marchmellow:
