I have maintained for years that I cannot spell. Never had to spell in school, we read classics, wrote reports (long hand, no computers existed then) and my hand writing is the only thing that is worse than my spelling. No one including me ever knew if I could spell because I wrote so poorly!

long hand or of the ones who know "cursive" was all that was used.
