Well, after many PITAs I finally got them changed out. It started last thursday. I ordered Hawk Brake pads from a place on the internet and I got them the next day. I thought Wow, fast shipping!! So I ended up saturday morning getting everything ready. I got the calipers off, cleaned everything up, and go to put the new pads on. WTF, they're too small. Same shape, design, etc. but an inch and a half too short.
So I go call the company, no answer. I email them. Still no answer yet today. I check out their return policy on their website which is 49% restocking fee and then another place on there says 100% restocking fee. WTF!! Great. So now I'm stuck with these.
I go to Autozone to order Performance friction pads and they aren't in their computer. Monday night I found on here you can get them, you just have to give them the part number. So Tuesday I went and got them, they even had them in stock. Sweet!!
Well the best part was when it all started I was loosening up the last lug nut which happened to be a locking nut. Well all of a sudden the lug broke. It has walls that you put the key into and the walls that hold the key in just snapped. So I spent something like 3 hours drilling the lug out piece by piece to relieve tension which never worked so I broke it off piece by piece then just had to wrip the wheel off.
But I drove it this morning, ripped off some rubber, and it made it all better.
