i don't have my manual with me...are we supposed to be changing the brake fluid on a reg. basis? (2 years?). reason i'm asking is a friend showed me in his volkswagen manual "you need to change the fluid every 2 years". to tell you the truth i have NEVER changed brake fluids in any of my vehicles, unless they were having the brakes overhauled. am i a MORON?:dontknow: :D

Actually you should change it every 20k under normal conditions
less if ya do a lot of hard braking
or every 2 years if ya let it sit a lot

the fluid will absorb water and get contaminated

the problem is finding someone that will completely flush the system

you almost have to be there to make sure its done

The main reason for doing this is moisture gets in the fluid.

For somthing like this it is usually easier to hit a brake place and let them power bleed the brakes for $40-50.
