Is there a quality cheap set of aftermarket plugs I can pick up at an Auto Zone? I dont really want to have to order them and pay for shipping...but I'm not really to sure what to get either.:dontknow:

Autolite single platinum plugs work just fine in hipo applications.

I don't know for sure but probably less than a 2 dollars apiece.

So should I even change the wires? Or are they good enough with the addition of platinum tipped spark plugs?

man my experience with chrysler vehicles and spark plugs are just keep the factory plug in and it runs great. you have champion plugs in your truck from the factory and you can get them at autozone. good luck

Dragons right bo, and these engines seem to eat plugs, so you actually may gain a bit if its been more than 15,000 miles or more from the last time you changed.

STINKER, DO THEY EAT PLATINUMS AS FAST. MIGHT BE WORTH THE UPGRADE.

MAYBE MORE TOLERANT TO TIMMING ALSO?

i think the platinums may last a tad longer bo, but man its good to keep check;)

i took mine out after 6000 miles and they honestly were shot!:D but they were just standard NGK's , gonna try the plat's next time round:rock:

does this help?

has anyone tried them Pulstar plugs??? IMHO looks like a good theory. just can't belly up to the bar for $250 a set though for some reason.

Stinker, a while back I tried briefly to inspect my plugs. I removed #1 wire and tried my trusty 5/8 snap on plug socket and I couldn't get a bite on it. Is there a something special to do?

LOLOL yeah I know bud:D hold on in a few weeks we "may" have some plug wires are acool deal, not sure , but maybe;)

but ya got to twist them back and forth a couple times near the bottom, and you will feel them break loose from the plug, then when you reinstall them be sure! to use dilectric or however you spell it:D grease, it will make it tons easier next time:p

NONO I can get the wire boots off no problem. It's the damn plug. I just tried again. Used my 5/8 snap on and every other plug socket i've got. I also tried metric, no help.

I just bought some autolite platinums and I hope to do them tonight or in the morning.

HELP ME!
