tinygiants said:It all depends on what you want out of the system. The JMB system is a top notch system. There are many nice upgrades included in his system.
What do you want from the nitrous system? What are you going to use as the trigger? Safety features? Things to think about are Wide Open Throttle (WOT) switches, Window Switches, Then you can get fancy with Fuel pressure safety switches. Do you already have a VEC? If so, it can perform as the trigger device with many of the safety features available to a talented tuner. The last and most important part is the TUNE. A no frill system tuned by a competent tuner is more desirable than a super duper system that is not properly tuned.

I mean no disrespect, but the nitrous basics are not expensive. You need a bottle, a solenoid for the nitrous, and a reliable method to add fuel. For stand alone systems use a wet shot. They are still affordable, and with a WOT switch and a window switch, they are as safe as any of the "Expensive" nitrous systems. This is all predicated on a proper tune.
If you were referring to the quality of the install, then I agree.
In my case I am using an existing VEC, so I bought the budget system. This was by direction from PBJ and Sean Roe. All I need is a bottle and nitrous solenoid. The rest is done with the VEC.
