cheater slicks

Does anyone on here know if there is a 17 inch cheater slick out there. And if there is does anyone use them. I currently run the 390 drag radials and was thinking i could get better traction with the slick. If there is how tall would be recommended. I run 18 inch rims up front.

What year is your truck? There are 17" cheater slicks but they are very short, if you have 4.10's you can get away with it. You best bet is to break out the grinder and grind the rear calipers down to fit 16" rims

I have a 2004 but i have 4.56 gears in it. Iv been told by many ppl that grinding dpwn the calipers is a SOB. Idk if i wanna get into that. But if i do would i be anle to run the correct slick?

Yes you'd have a range of sizes to run on a 16" and a better sidewall to take the shock! I have a spare set that one is ground already and you just match the other to it or I can for additional cost. It is a long process of grind , fit ,grind,fit then grind more. :chain:
