This is Penny, my retired racing greyhound. Next to her in the dog bed is Frosty a white Maltese that looks like a bunch of white yarn. You can also see one of the cat carriers in the front seat. These were from my move from FL to VA.

how old is she & does she like to run?????
FlyingLow said:She is 5 and loves to run. Greyhounds are low energy dogs so most of time she is sleeping. They call them 45 MPH couch potatoes. We have wild rabbits around here and a few of them have been brave enough to come into the back yard. Their days are numbered if they don't stop.
ZCx said:i thought they would be wound up like a 5 day clock:dontknow: :dontknow:
FlyingLow said:That is a common misconception. They are sprinters not long distance runners. They are not hyper and are low maintenance. They clean themselves like cats and have very little oil in their skin so they don't get that dog smell. They come crate trained and usually house broken. Ours gets along great with our cats and kids. They are good dogs for apartments since they need little exercise and get buy with a just a daily walk. We have a big yard and when she does run she can hit speeds of 45 MPH. It makes it hard to follow with your eyes. It only takes 3 strides to get to 30+ MPH.
