Check the shock, is it right?

Hey i pulled this shock off and wanted to know if it looks right? it seems like its coming up pretty slow.. but i have no idea what its supposed to do. I pulled it down as hard as i could and left it go back up on its own. Take a peek at the vids and lte me know if you think i should replace it. thanks
