Good Hemi Shops in Chicago Area?

A guy did me a good turn and asked if I knew any good hemi builders in the Chicago area...Being and SRT 10 guy, I know nothing about hemi's...

Can someone give me a couple of good sources for Hemi engine work in the Chicago area.

Sorry Roy, I'm no help on this one.

But I did just happen to think of something. A lot of the NHRA teams are based out of Indy. It's not that far away so maybe he should check out that area.

There are supposed shops here prof but i could never find um. Saddly, i looked and looked but never found a good or rep place around when i had my old hemi with work, aka one of the various reasons i traded it in because any more work was going to spell disaster for my engine. Now on the other hand, what about KRC on the west coast, i think there getting into the hemi stuff last time i looked and or Heat performance and or maybe even power ported performance? Thats the best i could do on this topic otherwise try phonein God and asking for the engine/tranny to not go boom! Most the guys i knew with the newer hemis just said screw it and either put in a 6.1 or some how got a 6.4 crate and adapted it but that got into the major big bucks and headaches.

What does he want to do with the Hemi?
I know where some good after market parts can be attained from.

I think he want some bottom end work, he will do the install, but wants someone to do the crank, rods, pistons and some head work...
