I have noticed a little ( very little) oxidation on my rear wheels chrome lips.

I used the claybar to try too remove it and there is still some there.

Do you think steel wool will do the trick and not scratch the cLear coat??

I Have also used Turtle wax chrome polish with no luck??:dontknow:

Any suggestions??

You'll need to use Aluminium polish. if it turning darker, sounds like your clear coat is coming off.

There is some stuff in a white bottle with green decals on it called something like, Old No. 7. Not Jack Daniels. It works great.

i think he has aftermarket chrome wheels fellas'..marc if the chrome is gone,i don't think there is much you can do.

Is chrome usually clear coated on wheels??

You really can't see the spots unless the sun hits it just right.

I have read that steel wool will work, I am just scaried it will leave scratches!!

Lemon juice is usually helpful on aluminum...will remove tarnish and corrosion.

If they are chrome they shouldn't do that:dontknow: Are you sure there not just a high polished aluminium?

if your chrome is coming off, no polish is going to help you.
