I just did a search and found out that X-Metal did one a while back.. Also Hennessey has done one... Since Gary at X-Metal has virtually stopped all production of products (from what I've heard),,, anyone else have a source??? Justin at JMB???
My plan is to get a chrome manifold and have the valve covers repainted in gloss red with silver viper lettering....

yep justin can take car of all that adn powdercoat on the valvecovers might be a better idea he can do that also

SWEET!!! I was hoping so.. And i meant powdercoat... :)

I just sent Justin a PM about chroming an intake manifold... I am also going to have him do a set of valve covers in gloss red, MSD Wires, a gloss red CAI, and radiator and fusebox cover... :)
My question is:
Here is the chrome that Justin lists on his color chart on his site:

I want a true high gloss chrome,,, kinda like this:

I'm hoping that Justin can do this for me since (I'm assuming) he has a spare manifold at his shop... I'll pay him the $1200 deposit for the core and ship back my stocker to him once the chrome one has been put on.

i know they have a local chomer in stl just pm or call justin and let him know that you want it chromed and not powdercoated chrome....................i believe that ther will be some prep work involved

The stock intake has to be polished real good before chroming or it will not look like what you want. I have a polished chrome on my truck and I like the look very much. The only bad part is that the black hood makes the intake look black in most pics that I take of it.

Bill.

I can't say for sure if it holds true with aluminum, but I had bumpers rechromed for a '69 Dart I had,and I found out real quick that there are varying levels of chrome, and what I should have asked for was "SHOW CHROME" !!! Anything less is only a 2 stage process instead of 3 !!! :dontknow:

Portland, i have a couple options for you to think about,

on is contact Steve Holden aobut the black chrome plating, very sweet looking.

two, i can probably have someone in charlotte do it for ya, just look at the one on K-80's blue viper. i think it runs aroung 1k or so

Just found out that Justin doesn't do chroming... His powdercoating of a manifold only runs $200... And it's looking a lot better to me.
Here is a pic that he posted on his site of his engine bay:

Looks like the color his was powdercoated is silver...
With powdercoat, could I reasonably assume if I had him powdercoat the manifold in red,,, it would look like this??? :

The True Chrome polished intake looks amazing!!!!

looks like ya can order the H intake might cost ya an arm and a leg and take 6 months to get it . but it looks solid :)

Question about powdercoating. My biggest concern is that the powdercoating on the intake manifold's paint won't be "smooth"... For example, the red calipers on our trucks. I'm assuming those are powdercoated. They're kinda "bumpy". I want it to look like the pic that I posted above in a high gloss. Is that even possible with powdercoating???
