Daimler AG, formerly DaimlerChrysler AG, is the ultimate parent company of the Daimler Group, which develops, manufactures, distributes and sells a range of automotive products, mainly passenger cars, trucks, vans and buses. It also provides financial and other services relating to its automotive businesses. The Company operates in four segments: Mercedes-Benz Cars, Daimler Trucks, Daimler Financial Services and Vans, Buses, Other. As of December 31, 2007, the Company’s subsidiaries included Daimler Luft-und Raumfahrt Holding AG and Daimler North America Corporation. On August 3, 2007, the Company transferred an 80.1% interest in Chrysler Group and the related Chrysler financial services business in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) region to a subsidiary of Cerberus. The Company retained a 19.9% non-controlling equity interest in Chrysler Holding LLC, a holding company for the Chrysler activities.

I believe the stock you hold is now for Daimler Benz. Chrysler is a privately owned company now.

Bill.

jim, I believe Bill is right. Have you called about your shares.

I am surprised they didnt contact you about those shares. When Inbev purchased Anheuser Busch I recieved a check for stocks shares they held (I own) and a mail in kit for the shares I held to which I have since recieved a check.

The shares should have converted to Dalmer...you need to check because the transaction may need to be reported on your income tax return whether it is taxable or not..

All I ever did was report it for taxes US and german tax...The stocks have been sitting in their reinvestment plan for over 30 years prior to the last time they were bailed out...I use to get the quaterly reports etc. haven't seen or heard a word in the last year or so..I guess I will see if they send me the tax paper this year..I quess I need to figure out who to call on this..what a pain in the arse!!!

You should be able to go on their corporate web site and look for a number for their investor realtions, they should be able to answer any question you have. If you have the shares on account at a brokerage firm, they can get the answers as well. Also, just because the shares changed due to a change in control, does not mean there is a tax implication.

If you can get me the CUSIP number then my wife can look up who the transfer agent is and get you that number to call. You can even call my wife if you like. She is not commission but likes to help when she can. The CUSIP number is on the actual stock certificate. PM me if you like.
