Just trying to preserve the integrity of the Cigar Thread...but the Bush administration surfaced (to impeach or not)...
And being the resident liberal...
Bush and Chaney have been among the most blood thirsty murdering terrorists in modern history. I am complicit in their crimes by virtue of not doing everything I could to stop them. And for the same complicity they will not be impeached by Congress.
With all of the evidence that now exists, the only defense would be that our actions were "a means to an end". Alan Greenspan our recent past Chairman of the FED plainly states (in his new book, The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World (really tough read!)) that all of our actions in Iraq during the Bush administrations has been oil inspired. Not WMD, not 9/11, not regime change.
This President finds it so easy to lie. And our Vice President has no compunctions about sending our military to kill and die to achieve his personal objectives. And yes, I did vote for both of them in 2001.
Next book, Valerie Palme's "Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House", that should really improve my opinion of my President! It should arrive tomorrow, I may be in a funk for the rest of the week.
And I thank God that I live in a country that grants me the right to say what I have said without repercussion. How do people exit in less tolerant environments?
