so tomorrow i'm going to the circuit of Zolder for a day racing.... my first time with the truck.

It is some free racing and 2 times a hour initiation with children of "special eduction " ( special schools for less smart kids )

Had my lowerig blocks ( sorry , leveling :D ) installed ( looks great !! ) and ... yes, finally the GEN IV shifter
Was already late so did try it only once and feels gooooodddd
indeed another way of shifting but you can smash 3the...hehe ...kik,vrooom,kik,vrooooom,kik,vroooooooooooom,kik,vrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom

now i hear also that metal noise when engaged ...but it's so racy ! :elefant: :elefant:

i have it now in the lower setting but extension is in the car so perhaps i can change it once tomorrow to feel the difference ..:D

PS i got rid of that fugly spare at last ... must be good for 0.1 sec  :burnout:

:nurse: Don't slip the clutch (let it out easy).....DROP the hammer! :elefant:
I'm supercharged :bebored: and I can come out of the hole (with street tires) at about 1400-1800/rpm and only leave many 10/ft of rubber.

Norbert, Is this a road course or drag strip? Let us know the results either way.

this is a road course , think fast ones times are in the 2 min range for a lap.

thks for inviting us......

sorry FLOOR , it was rather unexpected.... My son was subscribed with his Porsche club and introduced me ... so i got a invitation ( transponders are limited) ...i was even buzy with the lowering blocks and no nutz...:( , so happy i find them on monday , finished late evening and went racing today :elefant: :elefant:

next time we all go

now for the racing... hehe, all went well but it stay's a truck among Porsches and kittled baby cars... Ofcourse not all drivers were experienced, take me...

I think we drove 2 times 3/4 hour and some laps were i ended with "sponzy" brakes... What i sure know is it took about a full gas tank....:D ( went upp and down on LPG... ) Now Zolder is a circuit with no long straights so brakes can't cool enough during those needed "ventilation" times....Longest straight i entered just 4the gear...( 4.11 's ... still.. :dontknow: )

For the shifting ... the same... with the GENIV all started very good but with time it became more and more difficult smashing 3the....:dontknow: perhaps i need a clutch upgrade ( still stock ) or at least a refill braking fluid highest grade ....:dontknow:

But it was a great day   , many asked what engine in this ?...and i was able to follow the fleet :D ofcourse we cannot follow a Porsche or BMW in a curve but excelerating out of one many posted them on my side but revised and stayed in my slipstream...:D :D

Greatest fear was a combined 2 long curves in which i had to enter in 2nd but didn't daire to upshift during cornering...there i had my rev limiter do some work :D but i wanted to keep both hands on the weel...

Would be great with 4.56's or better :dontknow: with the SC... entering in 3the one could concentrate on the line goosing the pedall without reaching 6000 rev's...;)

While "cooling" brakes i fixed my camera on the dashbord with duct tape and filmed a lap but had to enter because i didn't trushed them anymore... had to pump them upp for pressure....tomorrow i can put it on line on my work 'puter

 so keep tunend

those are already on the net...hehe

( Porsche is my son... )

FLOOR this was free :p because there were 2 sessions with invalid kids were we had to do 3 laps, enter, another kid, 3 laps...
first pic you can see a passenger and me without helmet .... second one was the racing stuff with helmet ...:D

would be nice with 2 trucks :elefant: :elefant:

but we also have to be carefull ... what i mean is that not everybody likes our trucks .... the faster ones are ok , but those that are equal take sometimes unessescery risks as they cannot imagine to be overtaken by our truck... so spinned a Porsche right in front of me in the 2 long curves... glad he slipped in the grass.... other class are the ones with old "racing" cars... either they are collect pricy ones and admit they cannot follow .. either the cheap " wrecks" who throw them next to you in chicanes because they just couldn't keep upp in the straight...as nothing is covered by any insurance better watch out..they are not afraid of a collision and are there with trailers.... :D :D

That's really cool Barry!

Sounds like you had a blast!!:driver::burnout:

What was your best time?

Capture the sound...because the varooooooom is about to be replaced with a new and exciting:

Whoooooop, whoooooooooop, whoooooooooooooooooooooop!
