are the back side of our rims clear coated? I pulled my front wheels off to clean and have what looks like rust/stain spots on the rim. wanted to know if I could take a scotch brite pad and scrub the back side of the rim. but if they are clear coat I will not. just looking thru the spokes and seeing the rust/stain spots is annoying. havent tried a spray on rim cleaner yet though.
any opinions on what to use beside a spray cleaner?

Don't use a scotch bright. It will leave lots of scratches. A Mr Clean magic eraser works great.

pulled my wheels off over the weekend and cleand them. they are stained and discolored in various spots all over. I will probably do what mysrt10 did and paint the back sides to make them easier to clean and look better.

Sonax wheel cleaner.. I don't even take mine off, just use a rotary wheel cleaning attachment for my drill
