Climb inside while it's running

For those stubborn hard to get at places
I usually give the kid down the street $5 and tell him to leave the five on the porch BEFORE he climbs in.
Here's what I did Craig, I chose to dilute my SG. I've got a huge bottle of the SG and I poured enough to cover the entire bottom of a typical wash bucket, then poured a shit-ton of Dawn in there, then added water. I used a sponge and a Corteney's toothbrush. Oh, and I also have some SG diluted 50/50 in a spray bottle.
I chose to remove my airbox lid and intake hose during this as well. I took those inside and washed em in the kitchen sink, so the underside of the hose could be washed. OH yeah, COVER INTAKE OPENING if you choose to do it this way.
I covered all my electronics with Suran Swap and rubber bands. Not all, but those that were most prone to water exposure. Those around around the front of the intake mainly.
I've got one of those "fancy" Kmart nozzles that have 1025 different spray patterns, I chose "SHOWER" since it seems to rinse well, but doesn't soak the engine bay down like a fire hose.
Anyways, I wet the engine down and took the sponge and generally cleaned everyhing. Always start at the top and work your way down. I removed my hood liner and washed the bottom of my hood first then worked my way down. I then followed up with a toothbrush and got all the nooks and crannys.
After the wash, I reinstalled the intake pieces and removed all my suran wrap and started the engine, so that everything would dry. To help try, I drove the truck to the parts store and bought a can of "Stoner's Trim Shine" or something to that nature. I just remember Stoner's made it.
When I got back I sprayed the engine down with this shit. I went to town, I used the entire can. Oh, and when I washed, I washed EVERYTHING. I spent several hours.
Anyways, I will shutup now, here's a link to the pics.

There's also a carshow thread that Brat and I went to. Thats pics of the engine bay after many many hundreds of miles. All I did was wipe it down when I got to Brat's house.
Fuggit, here's a pic of the engine after maybe a 1k miles were put on it. Less Bling, but still FN clean.
OK, seriously, I will stop typing now.
