So I was out making my rounds visiting today sinse I am off on fridays:rock: I went to my local tire shop where I do business and am talking to the owner which I have known for about 10 years. He does alot of racing has an early 80's RC dodge with one hell of a 440. He runs 6.3's in the 1/8:D Then a younger guy about my age mid 20's came in and was talking about racing his truck to and I asked what he had and he said an 02' lightning:D He looked at my truck and said I should come out to the track tomorrow night. So I was like well maybe I'll just do that haven't been yet to the track. Then he was talking to the owner of the tire store about handing him his ass and I thought:dontknow: The guy told me he run 10.12 at memphis motorsports park:banghead: He was just tring to get me to come so he could wax my ass:eek:

Too bad he needs someone else do the shifting for him.........

A manual 6 speed is just too much fun to miss............

But 10.12 sounds like an awfully good time....... May be a bit exaggerated... Maybe not.

D

He took the supercharger off and built the motor and has a single turbo.. I don't think he was fibbing:( Because I know the owner of the store and seen his truck run. I think they go to races together sometimes.

10.12  Nowhat get on his:rock:

The thing about Lightnings is they're cheap to mod. To tell you the truth I know someone that is around your neck of the woods that is running 10.'s on a daily driven turboed Lightning... Beware if it's turboed it's probally pushing around 750 hp... They're no laughing matter.

May have been the same guy who knows:dontknow: He doesn't use it as a daily driver though. I know he raced somewhere in TN last weekend. Said a guy in a QC SRT with plates that read mysrt passed him.

Kyle you should run yours anyway....................see what it'll do. Lets find out if our 4.88's will make it it in fourth gear.

All the tracks around here are 1/8 so the 4.88's should work fine:rock: I hate to take it cause I think my clutch is getting weak:dontknow: I kinda had to slip it good a few times pulling my boat out of a very steep launch ramp:(

4.88s will not make it in 4th gear if you are running drag radials.

I ran the tallest DR (M&H 390s) and 4.56 gear and I bumped the limiter in 4th gear before I crossed the finish line.

It should be real close with 4.88s and stock rubber though. :dontknow:
