Ever leave your fuel door open and see how fast you have to drive to close it. 118 mph here but it was windy (faye). Try it and post your speeds

to answer the hood question. about 60 mph on a procharged 98 cobra. a friend in high school let his mom drive his car. she thought she was releasing the parking brake. apparently the car had enough power to overcome driving with the brake on and not be noticible to her. she got on the interstate got up to speed and the hood flipped back and broke the windshield and severely damaged the hood. she managed to pull over without hurting herself or anyone. needless to say he was a little angry.
