hey guys what would make a 10 not go in gear? I sold my truck to a guy and he replaced the clutch himself. And now he has called me and stated that it won't go into gear while its running. He said he put in a new stock clutch and master cylinder, and it won't do anything. Can you think of something he may have overlooked or perhaps there is some little trick you guys know of that can help him out? Please let me know.

not really sure. I told him that I would post on here, and he needed to get in here to put in his own input.

make sure he bled the clutch right. it's requires a little knowhow on these trucks to get it done right. I would also make sure his shifter is centered if he took it off by loosening the main shifter bolts and rowing through the gears then tighten down again. make sure the truck stays in gear after the bolts are tightened and check all pattern shifts.

here's a post for help:

Yeah bleeding the clutch can be a royal pain.. I found that you actually
kinda need to build pressure within the system by having someone
pump the pedal while opening and closing the valve.. :dontknow: I had
the same problem and fixed it by having someone help me do that..
But if you want some help take a look at a thread called "Tremec / Centerforce problems..."
Has quite a bit of information on all this stuff..
