looked thru the archives, if someone knows the last time this was discussed please point me there...

when pushing the truck hard the peddle gets soft. till it cools down again. i also noticed that the clutch does not engague until about 2/3 of the way out.... normal?

change fluid, bad fluid bad bad fluid, if dont fix ,contact the young one, Justin jmb performance:)

Stock fluid is Dot 3 but you can upgrade. Trans must come out to change slave!
 
check your lines,on the 04s' they are to close to the exhaust.i pulled them back and secured them with a bracket and self tapping screw,also put a heat shield sleeve around it.

mine did the same thing, after having the slave replaced 3 times they replaced everything
 
I used a high temp fluid that is found at most motorcycle shops. look for something that has a boiling point of over 550.
 
You also need to check if the plastic cylinder has been changed to the Viper billet one. The RC's came with plastic and under heavy use they expand and contract...most of us have gone to the Viper master/slave to get away from the plastic...

If you still have the OEM, you will want to change if you drive it hard. There is no cheap way to fix many of the issues with this truck.
