Very nice John. Congratulations on owning a trademark of motorsports history, as well as, you dream car.
RatMotor said:Screw the pictures, we want sound clips.
And remember when parking - the parking brake on Superformance cars is absolutely useless - leave her in gear!
Roz-SRT said:I've always been curious how the shifter "works". . . Meaning, what direction does it move to engage the gears? It's always appeared (to me) to move in a vertical-like motion. . .

belgiumbarry said:very nice Silver , very nice ! But it's not serious ,you have 2 Holleys to play with.... i have only 1 on the vette....( a 600 )
I removed all cold start devices from it , even saw the tower off with the butterfly...Don't need it , just a 2-3 pumping on the pedal and Vroem....ok , de first 30 sec's i have to play a little with pedal to keep it around 1000 rev's ....
First time i got the carb completely open the gaskets behind the metering plates were glued ....so broken and had to remove them in pieces, sand paper the faces....at the shop there seemed to be different ones , other holes patern...so i had to surch a bit which ones were to be used....![]()
![]()
Also renewed the safety valve ( to protect vac valve from backfire ) , oeps , never have seen so tiny one-way valves![]()
![]()
Also in those vac valves you have different numbers ( at which vac they work ) ....i tryed some ( and jets ) to find a responsive engine....:burnout:
A great profit is you can install fuel height in the bowls with running engine with the sight holes !
But i think you know that all.....![]()
Just info John : i have seen here sets of fuel lines at the shops with very poor quality pressure meters....which i don't understand : one go's with braided steel lines for safety and fire protection and at the same time they place a very fragile pressure meter on it....:dontknow:
![]()
![]()
myself would plug that and connect meter only for tuning....
Don't know ofcourse which one you have from a pic....![]()
Damned nice car John, must be great to work on and drive around to local pub .....
